Summary

Guts, the Black Swordsman, and his companions have finally arrived at the sea, where they discover a mysterious child who seems to share a special bond with Guts and his former lover, the now-mad Casca。 The troupe's brief respite at the shore offers moments for quiet introspection and deeper bonding, but such peace is always short lived where Guts is involved, and Guts must once again don the demonic Berserker Armor to take on a force of bloodthirsty beasts emerging from the once-peaceful surf, possessed by the accursed sorcery of a powerful Kushan enchanter! And who knows what will happen when internal strife pushes a member of Guts's band unknowingly into the comforting companionship of an enemy!

A calmer chapter。 Characters develop。 Schierke develops her rapor with Guts。The gang moves into an army occupied city。 Guts deals with the Berserker armor to fight off some possessed crocodiles。It moves along our group but is relatively calm and pleasant。

BerserkVolume#28We got to see the Skull knight once more, got a new piece of information about the last owner of the berserker armor, got a new target to reach the elf king to return Casca's soul And we got to see the Berserker in action。Was introduced to a new character, a kid with now name, he did not say a word appeared and disappeared in a single issue, cute as hell, sensing that we will see him again!Great artwork, cool looking crocodiles :p BerserkVolume#28We got to see the Skull knight once more, got a new piece of information about the last owner of the berserker armor, got a new target to reach the elf king to return Casca's soul And we got to see the Berserker in action。Was introduced to a new character, a kid with now name, he did not say a word appeared and disappeared in a single issue, cute as hell, sensing that we will see him again!Great artwork, cool looking crocodiles :p 。。。more

Took a few breaks in reading during this volume, so I don't have a very cohesive view of it as a whole。 It's pretty transitional between plot arcs。 Some nice character moments。 The seaside fights were ok, but the setup for the next volume was the most interesting plot movement。 Took a few breaks in reading during this volume, so I don't have a very cohesive view of it as a whole。 It's pretty transitional between plot arcs。 Some nice character moments。 The seaside fights were ok, but the setup for the next volume was the most interesting plot movement。 。。。more

This volume has my favorite cover in the series for a couple of reasons。 Its really nice to see Miura frame something so beastly as the Berserker armor on the cover, and the coloring is exquisite。 We also find out that the moon brings out the strongest magic, for better or for worse。 This volume starts with an incredibly moving scene。 Guts and Schiereke discuss their personal issues on the beach。 Despite being so young, Schiereke puts up a wall against mourning Flora because of her faith in magi This volume has my favorite cover in the series for a couple of reasons。 Its really nice to see Miura frame something so beastly as the Berserker armor on the cover, and the coloring is exquisite。 We also find out that the moon brings out the strongest magic, for better or for worse。 This volume starts with an incredibly moving scene。 Guts and Schiereke discuss their personal issues on the beach。 Despite being so young, Schiereke puts up a wall against mourning Flora because of her faith in magic。 I felt so bad for her to make an incredibly adult decision around trauma, and I was surprised Guts brought it out of her。 The person with the most trust issues in the entire story has softens around the witch, and she in turn prevents him from fully giving into the armor's hunger。We learn about familiars and the gathering Kushan army, along with the presence of Guts and Casca's mysterious child。 I was curious if we would ever see them beyond a demon fetus。 However two mystery characters felt like too much of a tease for one volume。 We already have Skull Knight, but I hope Miura elaborates on Flora's ally along with the new child。 The gathering army continues to ravage the captured Kushan, as evidenced by the bodies Schiereke asks the soldiers to burn out of respect。 However she's now a target for the army, despite finding kin in another potential magic user。 This volume did a good job at showing a gathering storm coming in the next volumes, even if it was shy on resolution。 。。。more

I absolutely love this series。 It's one of my favorite things。 The level of detail Miura puts into the art always baffles me and this issue was no different。 We get to meet a few new characters and see some glorious Guts and Serpico acting。 Can I just give Shrieke a huge hug? Interacting with Shierke brings out more human side of Guts?I am somewhat liking it but I know it's Berserk and such things are fleeting。 Interacting with Shierke brings out more human side of Guts?I am somewhat liking it but I know it's Berserk and such things are fleeting。 。。。more

I enjoyed the development of characters and the arrival of the armies。 Guts is not in control of the armour but it's nice that the princess gets her wish。 I enjoyed the development of characters and the arrival of the armies。 Guts is not in control of the armour but it's nice that the princess gets her wish。 。。。more

Nesse volume aparece um moleque misterioso, monstros que testam a habilidade de Guts em lidar com a nova armadura e a chegada à cidade onde há um cais。 Tudo avançando para uma nova jornada rumo às terras élficas。 E a arte como sempre impecável。

This really is an excellent series。 Berserker armor is awesome。 More mysteries, including a child。 Can't wait to read more。 (maybe I get one for Valentines day, but most likely would be Fathers Day, so it will be awhile, which is good。 the author needs to stay ahead of me)。 This really is an excellent series。 Berserker armor is awesome。 More mysteries, including a child。 Can't wait to read more。 (maybe I get one for Valentines day, but most likely would be Fathers Day, so it will be awhile, which is good。 the author needs to stay ahead of me)。 。。。more

This volume is “a fearsome assault on the senses。 A complex blend of horror, humor and action。 Berserk is definitely not for the faint of heart, the weak of stomach, or anyone who still needs to sleep with the lights on。” Perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, but not by much。 The child that shows up in this volume is a puzzle。 This is something off about him, but he does look very cute with Guts and Casca。 If you’ve made it this far in the series, there’s not much I need to say。 If you’ve made it th This volume is “a fearsome assault on the senses。 A complex blend of horror, humor and action。 Berserk is definitely not for the faint of heart, the weak of stomach, or anyone who still needs to sleep with the lights on。” Perhaps a bit of an exaggeration, but not by much。 The child that shows up in this volume is a puzzle。 This is something off about him, but he does look very cute with Guts and Casca。 If you’ve made it this far in the series, there’s not much I need to say。 If you’ve made it this far, I know you’ve already been sucked in。 Miura does that very well, suck you in and keep you there, turning page after page for hours at a time。 。。。more

Here's where I consider the Kushan war to really begin - because this is where it finally finds Guts and his buddies and starts to get them really involved。 This is the one where Daiba shows up, and also the mysterious little kid of whom we even in the present don't know as much as we'd like。 Great big crocodiles, good teamwork, the usual。Also, back into big cities。 I like the bustle of war about to begin, and it's a bit of a shame it turned out the way it did。 Here's where I consider the Kushan war to really begin - because this is where it finally finds Guts and his buddies and starts to get them really involved。 This is the one where Daiba shows up, and also the mysterious little kid of whom we even in the present don't know as much as we'd like。 Great big crocodiles, good teamwork, the usual。Also, back into big cities。 I like the bustle of war about to begin, and it's a bit of a shame it turned out the way it did。 。。。more

A volume with high-quality drawings (as usual) with a very thrilling start that enters into a calm passage while the story turns towards what seems to be a new arc。

Nice character development and the monsters still looked both horrifying and awesome at the same time。 But still a little to much dialogue as it can get a little grating especially when most of it seems to be going no where。

Guts's interactions with Schierke were sweet and the art remains fantastic, but other than that this volume was a letdown。 The plot is moving very slowly, the beast armor doesn't feel as significant as it should because Guts is immediately using it again in order to take out some uninteresting fodder in an action segment I don't care for at all。 The introduction of the moonlight boy also felt out of place and sudden。 Guts's interactions with Schierke were sweet and the art remains fantastic, but other than that this volume was a letdown。 The plot is moving very slowly, the beast armor doesn't feel as significant as it should because Guts is immediately using it again in order to take out some uninteresting fodder in an action segment I don't care for at all。 The introduction of the moonlight boy also felt out of place and sudden。 。。。more

The group that has joined Guts continues their journey and comes to the sea。 The episode deals with what happens to them upon their arrival。 It is a good graphic novel series。
